A shiny red brand new Ferrari!
As far as surprise unveils go, this is a very good one! Ferrari on the 13th December celebrated 50 years of Ferrari in Japan by unveiling the J-50. And what a thing it is. Debatable but for us it has to be one of the most attractive cars to wear the prancing pony in a long time.
Styling cues akin to the 288 GTO, this two-seater, mid-engined roadster comes out of Maranello with only 10 exampls being made. Exclusive then.
Based on the 488 Spyder, the beast is powered by a specially crafted version of the 3.9 v8 that won the International Engine of the Year 2016. The muscular yet futuristic styling encapsulates what we have come to expect from flagship models such as the F40 and F50 with it’s visor-style wrap around windshield finished off with an aggressive, quad tail light rear end and a rear diffuser which Ferrari comment is inspired in shape by jet engine afterburners.
We can’t wait to see what the bespoke 20″ wheels look like when they’re spinning up around the Nurburgring!
